Nahyan Ahmed Kayiza is a bright, handsome 3-year-old boy whose life began with loss. His father passed away before Nahyan was born, leaving his mother to raise him alone while carrying both grief and responsibility from the very start.

Nahyan lives with his mother, who works as a security guard. She labors long hours for very little pay, doing everything she can to provide food, shelter, and basic needs for her young son. Despite her dedication, her income is not enough to cover daily expenses, let alone school fees for Nahyan’s early education.

Even at such a young age, early learning is important. It provides safety, structure, nourishment, and the foundation for future success. But without assistance, Nahyan’s mother faces the painful reality that she may not be able to keep her son enrolled in school.

She dreams of a different future for Nahyan, one filled with opportunity, stability, and hope. Alexandria is a lively, talkative little girl with a heart full of curiosity and a smile that lights up any room. She loves making new friends and playing games whenever she gets the chance—always eager to be part of the fun.​ Born premature, Alexandria faced health challenges early in life, but her spirit has remained strong and determined. She is the firstborn of two children in a family that has faced many struggles.

Her mother works hard as a helper in a factory, but her small income only covers half of their rent, leaving little for school fees or other essentials. Alexandria’s father left when she was just four years old, and since then, her mother has been the sole provider, doing her best to care for Alexandria and her younger sibling.​ Despite these hardships, Alexandria dreams of learning and growing up to make a positive difference. Seven-year-old Susan Bella is a bright and joyful Primary 3 student who dreams of continuing her education and building a better future for her family.

 

Susan is being raised by her single father, who works at Katende Primary School, one of our partner schools. Although he works hard every day, his small salary is not enough to provide for Susan and her several siblings.

 

Despite these challenges, Susan comes to school eager to learn and full of hope. Sponsoring Susan would help provide her with school fees, educational supplies, and the stability she needs to continue growing and thriving both in and out of the classroom.

 

Adam is a 15-year-old student in Primary 7 who carries a quiet determination despite the many hardships his family faces.

 

Adam lives with his mother and five siblings in a very small rented room near a local store. The cramped space they share offers little comfort, and with no steady income, even providing daily meals has become a struggle for the family. His mother is considering returning to their village because she can no longer afford rent or food, and the children are at risk of remaining home without an education.

Even in the middle of these difficult circumstances, Adam desires to continue his schooling and pursue a brighter future. Sponsoring Adam would help provide school fees, meals, and educational support, giving him the opportunity to stay in school and continue building hope for himself and his family.

 

Ranish is a sweet little girl growing up in a family of five children. Her mother is raising the children on her own after Ranish’s father recently left the family. His sudden departure has left the family facing significant financial challenges.

Ranish’s mother works hard as a seamstress in Jinja Central Market. Each day, she uses her skills to provide for her children, but the income she earns is simply not enough to cover the needs of a family of six. Rent, food, medical expenses, and school fees have become increasingly difficult to manage.

​

In an effort to keep her family going, Ranish’s mother has taken out loans to cover basic expenses. Over time, those debts have accumulated, making an already difficult situation even harder. One of the painful consequences has been that the children are no longer able to attend school consistently because their mother cannot afford the fees.

​

Her mother reached out to Victory Children’s Outreach because she wants something better for her daughter. Sponsorship can help give Ranish the opportunity to return to school, receive the support she needs, and grow up knowing that there are people who believe in her and care about her future.​​

The family grows food in a small garden, which provides much of what they need to eat. However, they do not own enough land to grow extra crops that can be sold for income. Their only regular source of income comes from selling milk from the family's cow. What they earn is limited, making expenses like school fees especially difficult.

​

But Victory Children's Outreach already knows something about the potential in this family.

Asumati and Zurah's older sister, Shafiga, has been part of Victory Children's Outreach for several years. She is a hard-working and dedicated student who is preparing to graduate from Secondary School at the end of this year. We have watched Shafiga grow, persevere, and take advantage of the educational opportunities she has been given. Now we would love to give her younger sisters that same opportunity.

Both girls have the opportunity to follow in their older sister's footsteps. We already know the potential that exists in this family because we have seen it in Shafiga. Now we have the opportunity to come alongside her younger sisters and say, "We believe in your future, too."

Teopista is a bright four-year-old girl whose grandmother has been her source of love, stability, and care for nearly her entire life.

​

Before Teopista was born, her father was involved in a serious accident that left him paralyzed. Her mother was still pursuing her studies when the family began facing these difficult circumstances. Seeing the challenges ahead, Teopista’s grandmother made a life-changing decision: she would step in and help raise her granddaughter.

​

When Teopista was about a year and a half old, her mother moved away to Masaka, where she now works as a nursery school teacher. Since then, Teopista's daily care and needs have rested almost entirely with her grandmother.

​

For the past four years, her grandmother has faithfully provided the love, care, protection, and support Teopista needs. She has done everything she can to fill the gaps in Teopista’s life and give her granddaughter a stable home.

 

Her grandmother wants to see her continue learning and growing, but carrying the financial responsibility for a young child is difficult. School fees and the other expenses of raising Teopista place an additional burden on the household.

Through sponsorship, Teopista can receive support for her education and other important needs while easing some of the financial burden her grandmother has faithfully carried for so long.
